Zeina Baltagi

Zeina Baltagi, b. Stockton, CA, 1988. She currently teaches at California State University, Dominguez Hills and is the Director of Programming & Outreach at Coaxial Arts' Foundation. Baltagi was raised between California and Lebanon. The work reveals intimate realizations; transforming how Baltagi navigates herself in relation to physical, emotional, economic, and cultural mobility.

Zeina Baltagi holds a B.A. from California State University, Northridge, and an M.F.A. from University of California, davis. Baltagi has exhibited her work with, but not limited to: Basement Gallery, LADOT, Los Angeles Road Concerts, POST, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, bG gallery, Klowden Mann, Art Music Lit Space and Axis Gallery. In addition, she has shown work at the University of Southern California, Claremont Graduate University, California Lutheran University and California State University, Northridge.

5" x 7" color postcard series. Made from gathered liquor store signs of San Fernando Valley liquor stores: Northridge, Canoga Park, Van Nuys, Pacoima, Sylmar, Sun Valley, Granada Hills, Mission Hills, and Winnetka. She returned to each store giving them postcards with a letter and having conversations with the employees.
